Ricordi, tracce di culture diverse accompagnavano immancabilmente Fernando Sironi al ritorno da ogni lungo viaggio, racchiusi in capienti casse di legno o metallo spedite a Tortona dalle terre più lontane. Questi oggetti, sapientemente mescolati con gli arredi di famiglia, riportano alla memoria l’epoca del “Grand tour”, quando i giovani dell’aristocrazia europea viaggiavano per l’Europa per arricchirsi di conoscenza sulle culture e sulla storia dei paesi che visitavano. Fernando arrivava lontano non solo con le sue esplorazioni di terre allora lontane da raggiungere ma anche con la forza dei sogni. Questa camera è dedicata agli ospiti che come lui amano mettersi in cammino per scoprire nuovi luoghi.
When Fernando Sironi returned from a long journey he invariably brought back with him memories and traces of different cultures from faraway lands, all sealed up in large wooden and metallic chests. These objects, artfully mixed amongst the family décor recall the “Grand tour” era, when the European aristocracy sent its youth off around Europe to enrich themselves with cultural knowledge and the history of the countries they visited. Fernando traveled far and wide, not only because of his explorations of distant lands, but also due to the strength of his dreams. This room is dedicated to guests who, like him enjoy the adventure of discovering new places.
